Open circuit results

QFA open 2 podium pic

A small but enthusiastic field took to the strips on Sunday 21st May 2017 in QFA's second open circuit tournament for this year.
Madeleine Andersen dominated the women's events, taking gold in women's epee and sabre and bronze in the foil event.
Despite a reduced training schedule while she completes year 12, Alicia Kwag continued her domination of women's foil, taking gold in that event and claiming silver in sabre.
Emilie Tixeront achieved a personal best with a silver medal in the women's epee.
After losing in the T16 in men's epee, Michael Nelson blitzed the field in his 'just-for-fun' events, bagging the silver medal in men's foil and bronze in sabre.
Officials trialled new competition software for the tournament and are pleased with the result, saying Fencing Time proved more user-friendly for new volunteers who are keen to learn how to run competitions.
