A reminder that the State Open and Veteran Championships is on this coming Saturday, 13 April. Entries close at 8pm on Thursday 11 April.

The 2024 DH Mckenzie – Australian Senior and Veteran Championships are also to be held in Brisbane. The event has outgown Yeronga and will be run at Nissan Arena. We are working hard to ensure that the event is as positive an experience as possible for all competitors and attendees.

As always running these events requires a significant number of volunteers to move, set up, marshal, provide first aid and then pack up. You can sign up to volunteer for the event by clicking here. The Management Committee is working to put together special thanks to those who volunteer including refreshments, lunch and a variety of merchanise. Watch this space!

Lastly, and straddling the national championships, the Brisbane School Teams Fencing Competition is starting on 20 April and running for 3 weeks either side of the National championships. This event was the starting point for many QFA members becoming involved in fencing. The busy competition calendar ahead will stretch the volunteer hours provided to the QFA.
