AFF/SIA Education Plan

The Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) has released its AFF/SIA Education Plan, outlining the integrity education requirements for everyone involved in fencing – including athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers, and officials.

💡 Why is this important?
Integrity education is essential to building a safe, fair, and respectful fencing community. It helps to:

  • Protect athletes and create positive sporting environments
  • Ensure clear and consistent handling of complaints and issues
  • Support good governance and informed decision-making
  • Align Australian fencing with national and international integrity standards

⚠️ What this means for you:
Depending on your role, completing the required Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) education is mandatory and may impact:

  • Competition eligibility
  • Selection and appointments
  • Accreditation and membership renewals

We strongly encourage all QFA members to review the Education Plan and complete the relevant training as soon as possible.

National Competition Requirements

These courses are available from the SIA learning portal (https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/education/elearning-course-overview) :
